About Gloria Wing

In 2023, our building was renamed for Gloria Wing who was a tireless volunteer for our community. She dedicated over 70 years to helping others - whether as a

nurse at Copley Hospital or keeping town affairs in order.

She was a powerhouse and is missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Gloria Gained Her Wings

On October 28, 2024, our community lost a beautiful soul. Gloria passed away peacefully at home— surrounded by her family and friends — exactly where she wanted to be. True to her nature, God took her quickly, knowing how much she would have absolutely hated being fussed over.

The void left behind by her passing is immense, but it is filled with the countless cherished memories we have of her. Gloria’s lifetime of selfless community service and dedication has undoubtedly earned her a prominent place in Heaven.

Her obituary captures her legacy beautifully, but we know her impact cannot be fully measured in words. We will honor her memory by carrying forward the love of community and lifetime of giving she shared with all of us.

The Dedication

On Saturday, Oct. 7, more than 60 of Gloria's family, friends, and admirers braved the rainy weather to share heartfelt memories, excellent food, and lots of laughs. It was so wonderful to get together with everyone that the board decided we must do it more often!
